Great cast of characters, with standout performances by Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, and a striking Julianne Moore. The ensemble cast was also funny and fabulous. I was reminded how great an actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was (life imitating art a bit here). Despite the subject matter of the movie, it wasn’t as R-rated as I expected. I really enjoyed the story line and 70s vibe (kudos to the costume designers). After investing over 2 hours on these hard-not-to-love but troubled adult entertainers, I was very pleased with the ending!

Saltburn 2023
Beautiful cinematography, score and performances underpin this engaging psychological thriller by Emerald Fennell. Sometimes hard to watch and hard to look away at the same time, Fennell draws you in with artistic and disturbing vignettes that reveal the layers of Saltburn’s complex…

Pretty Woman 1990
Great chemistry between Richard Gere and the stunning Julia Roberts in her breakout lead actress role. The power dynamic subtly shifts as imperfect heroine, Vivian Ward, encounters supporters and detractors on her Cinderella journey. Loved the soundtrack - particularly the perfect placement of Lauren Wood’s “Fallen”.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 1975
Jack Nicholson’s finest performance. Randle McMurphy’s humanity, fearlessness and kindness stand in stark contrast to Louise Fletcher’s masterful performance as the soul crushing Nurse Ratched. An incredible cast of supporting characters that had me cheering (and tearing up) for the underdogs. This movie will stay with me for a long time to come.
