  People try so hard to hate Tom Cruise that they forget he's the real world's Indiana Jones.

  Overhyped plane stunt is cool, but a beautiful opera sequence and creative vehicle chase are where McQuarrie taps into vintage Bond & Spielberg vibes. Unfortunately (and predictably), these highlights are surrounded by scenes of cringe-tastic exposition.

  Luckily, if anyone can entertainingly deliver bad dialogue, it's the dude whose career revolves around the fact that we complete his need for speed.
