Don't Look Up 2021
People are calling it out for being not subtle and preachy. That might be a fair critique if I thought the movie was actually trying to be a call-to-action, which I don't. This movie is instead an indictment of current society and humanity in general. The movie isn't saying "This is what could happen if we don't do anything." The movie is saying, "This is what will happen when we have to face a crisis of similar magnitude because we have abandoned collectivism." I think this movie will continue to age unfortunately well.
