Masterful filmmaking. Technically brilliant gorgeous effective long one shots. Excellent writing and balance of humor themes realism dramatic tension and character.
I started sobbing at the sequence of everyone revering the baby in the midst of still being in mortal danger. So beautiful and heartbreaking.

There is simply too much for me to gush about. I figured I would get emotional watching it but I didn’t anticipate it to start 10 seconds in and never stop. A phenomenal adaptation created with such love and care. Chu is a brilliant director, and I will forever be grateful that they cast Cynthia, I couldn’t have wished for a better Elphaba.
