a movie that uses good metaphor to represent a family that feels stuck in place, with an unplanned, neurodivergent kid who they do not know how to handle, which drops them into an abusive cycle, tom outright hitting the kid and gemma constantly being disgusted by him and seeing him as a burden...
which drops this well done metaphor for a more normal "OOOH he's a monster spooky" section at the end, the film does really well in the beggining…Translated from by
