A Real Pain 2024
Top tier stuff from both Kieran and Jesse. Both incredibly grounded with the right touch of the surreal.

Electroma 2006
The cinematography is nice to look at (at times) and it induces emotion in a good way. It's a nice visual art form, but it can be cliche (the message is very "music robots want to be human", which is VERY Daft Punk) and over-drawn out and confusing. But it's worth watching at least once.

Captain Marvel 2019
This movie suffers from something similar to what I call "Ultron Syndrome" - it has good humor and fun characters, but ultimately comes off as formulaic and forgettable. This movie wasn't bad, but rather average, and could've been better. It was focused on so many threads that it didn't land any *quite* right. This movie would be better if it was better focused.
