I was genuinely excited to watch the movie, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. The screenplay is sloppy, the editing is terrible, and it drags on interminably.
The score is so underutilised that the film felt silent at times, leaving me constantly expecting it to improve.
It’s hard not to compare this film to Fury Road, but even on its own merits, it falls far short, barely managing to be a below-average movie.
The film feels like Guy Ritchie’s take on “Inglourious Basterds.” While it has its amusing moments, it lacks real depth and character development, going for a slick and cheeky style without much to say. I did enjoy it, but it’s just another Guy Ritchie film. If you want to see attractive people effortlessly mow down Nazis and not much else, you’ll get your bloodthirsty fill.
You're in for a cinematic treat as Patel masterfully blends folklore with socio-political critique in this action-packed experience. It's a refreshing departure from the usual fare, showcasing a side of Indian cinema often overlooked internationally. Just as Kid is reborn in the film, so too is Patel, embarking on a journey that demands fighting a bloody battle but delivers a beautiful spectacle.
This passion project is a big swing for the actor, but luckily, it connects with a bone-crunching intensity…
