I like how the colors were flipped over in the film. When Caroline didn’t know the truth yet about her birth mother and her father - she’s only this colorfully dressed up character while the town looking gloomy; then when truth was made known, the colors of the picture, the town all went bright, and almost as if the colors from Caroline were taken from her; “and isn’t better to know the truth?” and cost her her living.
