  A raw look at the portrait of a woman who struggles to find solid ground. Vera Farmiga exhibits the most realistic absence of grace that brings Irene's instability to life. The camera quality pulls viewers intimately into the film with a more home-video atmosphere. Dialogue is used sparingly, only in moments of purpose forcing the viewers to decipher Irene's moods and motivations behind her behaviors.

  The Wolf Hour 2019

  This film built suspense too much to bring much of a satisfying ending. However, we spend all of our time alienated with this woman. We experience what she experiences, and spend most of the movie between the four walls of an unkempt apartment, with glimpses of the outside world through her window. We follow her moods as she finds the inspiration to write again in herself. We are trapped this whole film with June and her mind. While the trailer lead up to a more mysterious thrill, the film really examines a woman in isolation and the overcoming of her fears.
