Such a good musical to movie adaptation. Absolutely impeccable production design and costuming - truly a transportation. Wish they allowed for more rawness in Cynthia Erivo’s singing (felt too polished imo, lost some of the cracked emotion Elphaba feels that is in Idina’s version but I don’t think that’s Cynthia’s fault)

Great performances (Russell & Rylance in particular) & cinematography, didn’t love the writing/narrative progression. Wish Chalamet and Russell had more chemistry. For a cannibalism story that was promised to be more about the romance, the connection was rushed and underdeveloped. Wish we got more into the journey of their relationship. Absolutely obliterated me. Beautiful performances by Mescal and Corio. A stunning portrait of childhood, depression, and nostalgia. First and foremost, though, this is a story of love and heartbreak between a father and daughter, and the temporal pervasiveness of grief/anachronistic projection of grief on memory.
