First watch since seeing it in 3D when it first released, and it’s grander, more beautiful, and more epic than I remembered, especially in 4K. When Jake Sully spits out, “Let’s get it done.” I get a goosebump overload. I need Avatar: Fire and Ash right now! This is unquestionably a monumental motion picture that is the pinnacle of blockbuster filmmaking. James Cameron, you cinematic maestro, is this movie the most visually stunning piece of cinema ever made? It’s absolutely in the conversation for me. Every frame is a literal painting, with every stroke being mandatory to the canvas. What a film, and what an achievement.
