proof that men can’t be manic pixie dream girls, only assholes.
this film was kind of Zola meets Hustlers with some silly little Russian men and a more ambiguous lens?
i like how i had no idea where the film was going. it was hard to watch ani constantly fight for some sense of power and autonomy and security within each turn of events. the end was cathartic and really stayed with me. some of the dialogue was a bit meh but i think this film really guides you to ponder on some important things
