The only movie I've seen that asks the hard questions about meat and cheese. Brilliant directing, editing, and casting (and many other things) by Brian Kesek
Really just one good song, but a nice move away from the choral music of previous films. It drags at certain points, but it was a childhood favorite that I still enjoy. The animation style is charming, Pongo and Perdita are charming, and it is a pleasant watch overall
Despite some pretty terrible songs and Disney's usual dollops of racism and cultural stereotypes, it is engaging and an easy watch. Unlike some other Disney movies, the protagonists have motives that can be easily sympathized with, and the pacing keeps the movie from feeling far longer than it is
So much more uncomfortable than Saludos Amigos. The live-action portions with actors feel like racist caricatures of the cultures they are meant to represent. None of the sections have a structured plot, so it is difficult to tell how long any one section will go on for (too long, in case you were wondering). It would have been nice to see some stories about the titular 3 caballeros, instead, we see what happens when tourists who only engaged with the local culture in the most shallow fashion are allowed to use actors and animation to create fictional anecdotes representing their travels
