I really love this movie and such a gem of the 2000s. It makes me feel soooo nostalgic with the music, the outfits, but especially the visual effects and editing that were a thing back then. A production of its time! Last 20 mins are goated

Lmaoooo 3.1???? Goofy ass rating! This movie deserves at least a 4. I have watched this movie a million times and every time I watch it, I burst out laughing. Most of the humor of this movie holds soooo well 25 years after its release!!

I love this film and the ending does leave me sobbing. I hate reading it compared to the Dead Poets Society when, of course, both are obviously about challenging conservatism and traditionalism but under very different circumstances. Also, I’m aware that it’s white feminism and not an intersectional one but why do we pretend that every feminist issue will be resolved by the end of the movie?? Though, I still agree and dislike how Hollywood does water down characters because they can be liberal but not too progressive!

It’s a good movie and despite it feels as a yet another movie with a reduced version of a revolutionary icon, in this case of Fred Hampton, it opens up the door for newer audiences as myself to learn about social movements!
