  Absolutely beautiful and stunning film about the tight knit friendship of two male teenagers and what’s happens when it gets abruptly disrupted. Leo had me SOBBING pretty much 75% of the film. The coloring was fantastic and gave it almost like a nostalgic feel to it with the warm and vibrant tones. Acting is outstanding and every time they stayed on Leo’s face I cried.   While Disney is trying to broaden its diversity in story telling there’s something that just doesn’t feel right about this whole movie. Why does Meilin uphold all the Asian stereotypes? Overachieving in academics (the “I love math” sticker.. oh please) and extracurriculars, plays an instrument, is a dorky girl friends with girls who don’t fit in.
