    The Monkey

    ★★★★

Stephen King has outdone himself once again with this comedy horror gem. The writing is excellent, and the deaths are truly nightmarish. Is it just me, or is there a creepy monkey connection to one of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s occult collections? And to top it off, James Wan produced this one too. Am I just imagining things, or is this going to be an epic hidden treat?

    Heart Eyes

    ★★★★

This film skillfully combines the elements of a romantic comedy and a horror movie, creating a unique and captivating experience. However, I felt that the serial killers’ backstories could have been explored more deeply to provide a solid foundation for their actions.

“My job is to protect you.”

A father attempts to reunite his family by taking them to a place he knew was unsafe from childhood. What a brilliant idea, right? His father mysteriously disappeared there, and he even had a near-death encounter with a wolf man. While I believe he did bring the family closer, it came at a steep price—lifelong trauma. Despite this, the acting and imagery were commendable, effectively evoking numerous jump scares.

    Presence

    ★★★★

This movie offers a unique perspective on the world of the unseen. While we all know that ghosts are more like stalkers with varying intentions, this movie presents a different take. The presence tries to understand its nature, purpose, and the reason behind its inability to find peace. The movie takes viewers on a thrilling perspective as an unseen presence, featuring house tours, lurking in the shadows, blowing faces, fixing books, and even making human contact. Beyond the supernatural elements, the movie explores themes of family, friendship, death, and murder, adding depth and emotional resonance to the narrative.
