elsies acting was lethal. my eyes were almost swollen shut from crying after the scene where kayla and her dad were sitting on their backyard, watching the fire slowly consume her time capsule. i couldnt stop thinking about kaylas question to her dad - "do i make you sad?" - and the response that came after. its a very sincere movie because it felt simple yet honest (sometimes too honest, if were being real - i found myself covering my face multiple times whenever something embarrassing happens), and i think bo burnham deserves to be appreciated greatly for producing such gem.
