very enjoyable. brought a whole new storyline to the existing evangelion we know and really explored the characters in more depth so we could understand THEM better. beautiful animation, and i love the design of the eva’s beast form (i think thats what its called)

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone 2007
in terms of animation and art style, it looked very pleasing. i miss the old style as i really like how 90s anime looked, but other than that it was just OKAY. it was the same story as the original anime just summarized slightly into a movie so we could re understand the original story and learn the basis of it. i did thoroughly enjoy it though, but from a critical perspective it was just okay.

fight scenes were fucking GORGEOUS. directed so intricately and each character has their own clear fighting style based on their personality. meeting new characters from the statesman side of things was interesting, and i have to say whiskey was my favorite (not js cus hes pedro pascal). merlin. you will never be forgotten ever. i loved you so much and i think you were an incredible character. country roads, take me home.
