Butterfly Kisses 2018
Man every time I re-watch this I remember how good it is. "Butterfly Kisses" plays with the boundaries of what a "found footage" film is while embracing its place in that genre; always getting close to the fourth wall but never coming across as pretentious. You may leave the movie unsure of what's real versus fiction, but in the end, does it matter if you're still scared?

I wanted to like this SO bad. I loved "The VVitch", liked "The Lighthouse", was bored of "The Northman"... "Nosferatu" felt like the weakest of all Eggers' films I have seen so far. Oh my god this one somehow sucks way more than the first. WAY too long for such a flimsy and nonsensical plot, and just so dumb. These movies can’t decide whether they want us to root for the good guys or revel with Art in his kills, and it just makes the whole experience feel miserable and mean.
