I’ve cracked the code.
I finally realized exactly why despicable me 3 is the worst despicable me movie. It is missing the classic despicable me elements that make despicable me movies despicable. See it here:
1. Movie starts with something mysterious happening somewhere across the world caused by a villain, but we don’t get much context at the time- cue the logo (pyramid deflating in first, experiments in lab in Arctic circle that gets sucked up in second)
