excruciating to watch
I wish that instead of it being so brutally obvious what a horrible presence anthony was in her life ... that instead we were a bit more inside her head within the enjoyment of their relationship. i wish we could've in some twisted way rooted for them. but then that would be a different movie entirely

The scene where the modelesque young Hemingway tries to assuage Woody's neuroticism by suggesting they make love "a lot" is simply sickening.
