Not my cup of tea at times because there’s a lot of gratuitous s*x but the costume and set design are outstanding. Maybe I’d like to see an edit without the nudity and I’d like it more. Is this the path towards enlightenment?

The Zone of Interest 2023
There’s a lot of juxtaposition in this film between two different historical timelines. I wonder if it is to show the egregiousness of nazi germany with their resources and then to show how careless we were as humanity to let the genocide go that far. Or maybe to show that this is still happening.
I often don’t like WWII movies because they often frame the damage by nazis as having occurred in the past when in reality, there are so many nazis still causing harm present day and once again, humanity continues to be too busy to stop them.

Edgar Wright did somethinG WRONG (edgar wrong) by using sexual assault as a plot device. While the rest of the film stuns in a visual capacity, I cannot recommend this movie to anyone because it completely lacks a moral backbone or ethical lesson. He probably made this movie and was like “yes this is what the feminists want” but it’s actually like “why are you making a movie about something you have never experienced before and why, PRAY TELL, did it have to be sexual assault of all the things to make a fictional movie about?”

This movie is a vignette on a family of protestants during the time of Belfast in Ireland in the 1960s. I think people who will like history will like this movie. I had 000000 knowledge of any historical context but I enjoyed the way this film was made and the music choices.
