it is unclear if sarah jessica parker’s character was supposed to come off as awful and unlikeable as she was.i spent the whole movie waiting for a character redemption that never came. the plot was also just absolutely insane. the only people i rooted for after the first 30 minutes were myself and the off button.

it gave exactly what it needed to give!! to those that are criticizing it for being cheesy or cringe, that’s literally the point. that is why people love romcoms and i challenge you to find one that isn’t cheesy or cringe. the point of the genre is that it’s heartwarming and fun. there has been a steady decline in romcoms since the late 2000s, and the ones that have been released are mediocre at best. this is the perfect modern romcom, real chemistry and stupid fun.
