  We are wrong. About special effects. We forgot that they are supposed to be illusions or visual tricks. I haven’t seen an illusion in a long time. I’ve seen people in motion capture, and cities crumble, but those weren’t special effects. I wasn’t tricked.
  I was tricked watching this film. By hats. Big hats broke my reality a little. And color. I had forgotten what color looked like. Paint on faces, an unknown light, someone looking into the camera. I forgot about all these. Thank you Juliet of the Spirits.

  “Get a letterboxed account!” My friend said. “It will bring us closer” he….didn't say that but Ahhh crap I did not like this. This wasn’t for me and that’s fine. This is not my world and if anyone liked it that’s fantastic.

  
  The stakes were so low for me I couldn’t care less if Anora got her bag and the WHOLE movie is about Anora trying to get her bag with increasing desperation and delusion.  I think Mikey did play…

  It’s all so fragile. Our psyche. Our relationships. Civilization. Hitchcock makes a movie in a movie. he really wants to explore how messy it is to have human relationships. But also he wants to make a movie about how anything can kill us if it wants. And yup.
