  “Pain is in the mind”

  My god, Nolan’s ability to write and direct a story so layered and complex yet so easy to follow is unparalleled (I’ve not seen Tenet so I’m probably yet to eat those words). 

  Such a beautiful score too, perfectly captured both the eerie darkness of extraction with the hopefulness of the main team. Immaculate emotional journey

  The absence of background music and almost ghostly flow of the camera really make the tension of this film, a massive step up in direction from presence. 

  Also Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender, need I say more?

  “If you want to shake hands with the devil, that’s fine with me. I’ll just make sure that you do it in hell.”

  Surprisingly beautifully shot. Combined with a fantastic score, this film is able to control my anxiety levels like a volume fader. Also love how it pays tribute to the original series while still delivering a completely fresh reimagining in a way that so little legacy sequels are able to do nowadays.

  I mean it was alright. Edibiri and Malkovich were both fantastic as expected but other than that the film just rehashes the plot we’ve seen before in movies like Blink Twice and Midsommar. 

  Honestly getting really tired of the “people go to place and at first place good but then a weird happen and place actually bad? And then they die :(“ genre.

  At least there was the really cool bus drone shot, I really liked the bus drone shot
