  i watch period pieces for their historical accuracy most of the time, i like to envision what it may have been like to live in their shoes. this movie lacked in that department heavily, the costumes were silk robes with random layers to make them look more sloppy. the script was weak, but the storyline was lighthearted in contrast to most period pieces, which i enjoyed.
