    A bleak reflection on the entertainment industry that to the viewer’s dismay, fully commits to its motive by masterfully delivering the most deadpan musical of all time. Genius level trolling on Phillips’s behalf - both to Hollywood and to anyone who was expecting to be merely “entertained”. 

    A total inversion from the previous film makes this progression on Arthur Fleck’s story all the more tragic by making the audience complicit. 

    The icing on the cake being Joaquin singing a Daniel Johnston while the credits roll... just in case the message hadn’t been made clear enough. Ouch.
