I like when movies/books/podcasts make me contemplate ideas far removed from my life (eg. Atrazine in water causes feminisation in frogs). While “Altruistic kidney donation” is not a completely foreign topic, it’s definitely not something I think about on a daily basis.
The exploration of science and history behind kidney donation was fascinating! I especially liked the term “experimental surgeon”. It’s ironic that it takes an almost psychopathic mind to figure out how to save people’s lives by switching organs.…
This movie seems rough, unpolished and slightly awkward which compliments the unpolished and awkward nature of adolescence.
Also really really dig the soundtrack!! 💜
I think there’s a lot that’s untold in the story and in a way the characters lack depth but i think it oddly works because your imagination fills the gap.
For some reason I enjoyed this movie wayyyyyy more when I watched it the second time than I did the first time in 2016.
