Great cast and a strong first act pulled me in but the middle and backend portions of the movie were a bit lackluster and muddled. Some interesting ideas and concepts are introduced early on and then abandoned entirely (more Keith David please!). Felt like the movie was trying to be important with its messaging but didn’t say anything thought provoking instead settling for surface level commentary on media stereotypes.

Alien: Romulus 2024
I knew I was into it from the opening frames. Maybe 2 or 3 eye roll moments but I enjoyed the rest of the movie so much they didn’t really bother me. Fede Alvarez has the juice. Phenomenal production design and special effects and a standout performance from David Jonsson make this a great entry into the Alien franchise. Third best IMO.
