Crazy, Stupid, Love. 2011
As I got into the first half of the movie, I was already thinking about the review I was going to post here: “Just the typical comedy/romance drama movie with Ryan Gosling in it”. As the second half started, the tone and the pacing of the movie changed dramatically, which shocked me, ironically. The ending was totally unexpected and expected at the same time and the fact that this movie fooled me into thinking its gonna end on the sad part…

May the people who chose this piece of monstrosity to win the Oscars instead of Dune part two get obliterated into oblivion. How does a movie about a sex worker falling in love with a Russian oligarch win such prestigious awards? Absolute robbery, the movie doesn’t even deserve to get nominated for the awards.

This movie was an unexpected surprise. I mean, the way the producers showed how money can change a person faster than the speed of light and the tension and pressure at the end of the movie were exceptional. I think this is a deeply underrated film, I believe that these 4 stars that I give to the project are well deserved.
