  The perfect movie for my mood/health/mental state tonight (grumpy, sick, and overstimulated). This was dreamy and gorgeous without being too taxing. Knocking off a star because I found the banded, low-fi style of the main characters very distracting.

  It is rare to find a documentary made without bias or judgement, and seemingly without an agenda (other than to raise awareness of its subject). Sunshine Hotel gave the men of the Bowery an opportunity to tell their own tales, each in their own way. The vast majority of this film broke my heart, while the overall hopefulness surprised me.
