  Rogue One: A Star Wars Story 2016

  I think if this was a bit shorter I'd enjoy it much more, but the overall concept I quite like - getting to see the human aspect of the resistance, the sheer number of lives needed to have even a sliver of hope against the empire. There are some weird bits like Tarkin's CGI that takes you out of it a bit but on the whole a neat film.

  It's fine, heavy on the fan service considering it's basically A New Hope again. The premise has some real mixed messages, which I'm sure get ironed out in the coherently written sequels....right?
