For a film that's supposed to be character driven they really failed to let Ani be her own person. It's technically very beautiful and I had fun watching it but every time Ani became the punchline of another joke I liked it a little less. I felt especially uncomfortable when Ani being tied up by a group of men was played for laughs.
Thinking about Tangerine after seeing this fills me with disappointment. There aren't many movies that portray sex…
