This movie rules. Protag is a much more accurate representation of an Angeleno than Andrew Garfield or Joaquin Phoenix. The weird characters all grow on you and the themes have a sort of Daoist resonance that complements the discordant performances. Left me feeling quite hopeful about life compared to the typical genre fare. Really hope this finds a cult audience and Pine does some more out there shit A++
