Conclave 2024
At times a roller coaster ride, at times caught in rush hour: CONCLAVE definitely exceeded expectations for a film that is comprised by 2 hours of deliberations. That being said, the slower moments of the film inevitably disturbed momentum.
I liked the peppering of twists that were infused throughout. I’ll keep this spoiler free but suffice to say I most certainly did not see the final reveal coming. I cannot say I completely understand its ramifications beyond the obvious contradiction…

I believe I unfairly put this on a pedestal prior to watching.

Swing and a miss.
For a concept that I found really compelling (despite some annoying convenience inter-laden throughout), I think this film drops the ball at almost every level. I am so disappointed because (as Mr. Drew Hobart said in his review) it is fantastic that these kinds of movies are being written and made, but this was a really unfortunate attempt.
