Great revenge story, as compared to fury road which was more of an epic journey. Finding out more about this new world of Mad Max was great, and seeing how Furiousa got her start, (Anya-Taylor Joy is excellent btw) but I can't help but feel a little empty with how little development she had. Not much of a feeling of resolution with her reaction as a character at the end. And the CGI felt lame compared to the special of…
Most faithful book to movie representation I've seen, reading the book is reading the script. Also, Sean Bean making a LOTR reference has got to be the most subtle 4th wall break of all time.
Tom Cruise taking over the M:I series has been a long time coming, and starting off with a bang making a 2-movie story. Get the maguffin, lose the half of the maguffin, a lot of back and forth. But the stunts are easily the best part. This movie has the best European car chase since Jason Bourne, Tom Cruise never skimps on intense real stunts (that he does himself of course). Also, Hayley Atwell can pickpocket me anytime.
