It doesn’t hang together as sharply as it desperately wants to, and it repeats a lot of the same tricks as last time (hi, Janelle Monàe’s character and Miles Bron writ large!), but in an age of Marvel bombast and overlong, poorly edited movies masquerading as miniseries, there’s something to be said for simple pleasures repeating.
