A Single Man 2009
A lot of omg so meeee moments. Surprisingly lowkey, heartwarming and earnest. Colin Firth is phenomenal. The setting of the film also ignited my interest in the Cuban Missile Crisis and Operation Mongoose even though they weren't the focus at all. Did have a couple yawns here and there though so gonna take one star off for some pacing, otherwise this is an excellent movie and definitely a recommended watch.

I have many a times considered making a letterboxd account but held back thinking just how pretentious things can get, but i just had to after watching this movie. this movie is basically the lion king if they actually acted like lions (definitely did not steal this from anywhere). The valkyrie shot was powerful af. So were Alexander Skarsgård's primal screams throughout the fucking thing. Also, Bjork??? wtf. im sold as fuck.
