Shaft in Africa 1973
pretty good for what it is (cheesy 70s b-movie). shaft is basically unbeatable but it works pretty well. would recommend a healthy dose of alcohol and/or marijuana to round out the viewing experience

Godzilla Minus One 2023
this is a fire movie. i don’t really like action movies or godzilla movies but this one had an emotional core that kept me engaged throughout. the characters were actually memorable but the scenes with godzilla were still suspenseful and exciting, which is a balance i rarely see in most action movies. overall fire movie, don’t really see myself going out of my way to rewatch it anytime soon but definitely far above most action movies (and movies in general) that come out nowadays

Nosferatu 2024
nosferatu is a freak and i like this. set design, costume design, cinematography, etc. all excellent. characters are all good, i especially liked willem dafoe because willem dafoe is the goat. plot is well paced and doesn’t really seem to drag at any point. it doesn’t do anything particularly revolutionary with the source material but it was a respectable modernization of a classic which is simultaneously ubiquitous and nearly forgotten. good movie and will probably watch again at some point
