Wizarding World for the braindead.
Devoid of any subtlety or nuance, TSFGAE shows remarkably little respect and interest in the world it depicts.
And yet, the most wondrous thing: I still found myself amused enough by the film throughout its rather long runtime. Alfonso Cuarón does what he does best, and this time he is nominated for both best direction and best cinematography as he himself did the beautiful camerawork for this movie. And I am 100% with this.
What I can not quite agree on, is the nomination for best writing and best movie overall. There are stories more emotional, more interesting, more devastating - more memorable.
