joker taught me to find humor in the little things.
great acting! didnt need to be attached to dc really, but it doesnt hurt it i suppose. the fact that it takes place in a fictional city gave them more of a playground for storytelling i think, rather than being in like nyc like taxi driver. i like the themes it plays with. a character who is neglected, abused, and bullied by most around him and the government itself. i found it very interesting. yerp... good movie and definitely one that maybe a bit hamfisted but still gets the emotions down perfectly.

this movie really tackles what it feels like to doubt yourself and the feeling of loneliness i relate to very much. all characters are great and the writing is on point. had me shed a tear or to theres no shame in that, assholes.

DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story 2022
im not the biggest fan of glorifying our murders of our past, especially if it digs up the same trauma talked about for years and shoved it in the faces of the recovering families of the victims without any compensation or privacy awarded to them.
not to mention everyone in school called me dahmer for about 6 months.
