  I often like the characters in Charlie Kaufman's films. They can be quirky, closed-off, unusual characters that nonetheless are interesting and endearing to my taste. I loved the plot based around a very specific article called The Orchid Thief in the beginning of the film. Orchids are my favorite flowers and it was nice to see the film kind of glorify this species with an added hint of obsession from the protagonist, whilst inducing curiosity about the likelihood of his success in his endeavor throughout the film. Definitely my kind of film.

  A mind-boggling, exhilarating, visually magnificent film with deep, complex concepts to unravel. Difficult to watch without wanting to make sense of it, but wanting to make sense of it entirely coming to no avail. Full five stars because it is deserving.

  The film was quirky and humorous with dark undertones. Not a lot of crime films have touched me like this one. The performances from the two leads were stunning! Loved seeing the progression of the cop throughout the film.

  So dark, twisted and beautiful, this movie should be a genre of its own. It was about the 5th time I've seen this film and it never fails to suck me in! This time, I was old enough to pick up something rather sinister about it. It might just be a theory I have, but it made me cry towards the end.
