The Accidental Getaway Driver 2023
slow pace, but beautifully filmed. the movie felt really intimate yet distant. i think some things were lost in translation w the subtitles, but the director did a great job balancing fiction with real life. the two leads were also really great and had the smoothest dialogue

A Complete Unknown 2024
this was my first time seeing elle fanning act and i felt she really brought life and depth to her character. monica's singing too - felt like her voice reached the core of my soul. there are irregularities and inconsistent pacing with the film, but as someone without much knowledge of bob dylan's life, i enjoyed watching this young man navigate adulthood as a rebel, challenging expectations at all times (even in romantic relationships).

my heart was racing the whole time. this is that type of i'm getting fucking pissed by people's dumb decisions kind of movie. the transitions were weird, although i felt like some of the scenes were shot well. it was like one of them days but from the male perspective (aka no real friendship). truthfully i came to see it for cindy kimberly and my goodness is that woman beautiful.
