The Brutalist 2024
I was entranced for all of act 1. Act 2 was quite literally brutal. I knocked off a star for the epilogue. I think overall the film did a solid job of explaining the hollow promise of the American Dream, the oppressiveness of capitalism, antisem!t!sm, and the rise of z!0n15m post WWII, more thoughts on the last two, but that’s for literally anywhere else but this app. The score was sooooooooo good.
