So beautifully bittersweet and palpably emotional like few other things in existence. Unbelievably real, honest and mature portrayal of navigating through life's complexities and heartaches, with some of the most fleshed out and empathetic characters in the medium. Themes of love, longing, self-discovery and self-actualization are so beautifully conveyed through their rich inner emotional worlds.

Ultimately a story about finding beauty and meaning from complexities and messiness of life, what it means to create deep, profound and lasting human connections, how personal happiness and growth often clash with one another, and how the weight of personal choices and past traumas affect future days.

"I'd very much like to be equal to you."

"You will never lose me, as long as you stay who you are."

About as perfect of an adaptation of the literary magnum opus as humanly achievable. Paul's arc is such a hauntingly brilliant subversion of the hero's journey which chills my soul and never fails to compel. Pretty much shed tears of joy by the end due to the sheer awe witnessed. Just an absolutely staggering achievement in every conceivable regard. Bring on Dune Messiah.

From the initial burst of violence and shock that is the opening raid sequence, Sicario draws us into its sinister, dark, hopeless and unforgiving world, where questionable ethics and unclear line between good and evil and stand as the pillars of modernity. It succeeds as a realistic, unflinching portrayal of American War on Drugs, delivers a captivating study of the dark and ambiguous…

A thrilling crime drama set in the neon blue LA dreamscape, brimming with immaculate and realistic action setpieces and a multitude of layered, complex characters - both cops and criminals alike - helmed by two of the greatest actors of their generation in their prime.

Heat is a towering classic, which defies standard black-and-white characterization, but instead approaches its characters realistically, depicting them as flawed indivdiuals struggling to cope their daily lives with their dangerous proffesions. The line between cops…
