Gattaca 1997
A great story of (male) stubbornness. If you are struggling with recognition problems or impostors syndrome, this movie is a relief. Maybe the plot twist a bit forced. Unfortunately Uma is overshadowed in the storyline and direction. I love the cinematography, it seems like Dune and Blade Runner 2049 are majorly inspired by it. Costumes are great too, I can see references to Tamara de Lempicka’s work.

Love Lies Bleeding 2024
Kirsten Stewart is amazing. The direction and the editing are tight and engaging. I loved the scenario and all the references to the macho culture of the 80’s. Loved to see Ed Harris again in the bad guy role.
