  One of those movies that spring to mind a few days after watching and you realise how good it was. Soundtrack is one of the meanest I’ve heard in years.

  A West Coast KIDS that forged its own path and survives on its own merits (with a couple of nods to the Larry Clark film).

  I really enjoyed the way it was shot, the character development and the fact that the storyline didn’t feel forced in what felt like a fairly fluid telling.

  Aliens 1986

  When I was around 10 years old this was my favourite movie. This and Predator. I owned the Alien Trilogy and Predator box set on VHS, and I would watch Aliens, and Predator, religiously. I would watch Alien with the next most frequency, because I always found it a bit more boring than Aliens.

  Now that I’m older I’ve come to appreciate Alien more for its tone, as well as SFX for ‘79. I think it is a brilliant piece…
