they could've done so much more with this premise, honestly. i love a violent, loud action film and this one just had me wishing someone else had written it. it's hard to get over how incredibly awkward and disjointed the writing is, even with jack quaid trying his best to pull whatever he can out of this very one-dimensional character.

i'd like to start by thanking mark anthony green for having a Black character do exactly what a Black person would do should they find themselves at the scene of an inescapable cult (midsommar i am side-eyeing you for many years to come).
