The Master 2012
I don’t know what I was just watching but The Master is such an original, thought provoking movie that is probably one of my favorites of all time. I just can’t put my head to it.
Joaquin’s performance is probably my favorite, close to Her’s performance. The cast is all around fantastic and the cinematography, editing, lighting, is so crisp and clean. I’m baffled that I haven’t seen this sooner. An actual 10/10 for me

Her 2013
Honestly, this movie introduced me to Joaquin Phoenix. And this movie shows how wonderful Joaquin is as an actor and storyteller. Through his acting he gratifies the film and makes you feel for Theodore, and thanks for the director, cinematographer, and composer for making the scenes more impactful to watch. Even though this is a sci fi movie, it still makes you feel like it’s present day. The world design combined LA and Tokyo into one and its beautiful. The chemistry between Scarlett Johansson and Joaquin is amazing, and that ending was just beautiful. Great film. 10/10

Spider-Man 2 2004
One of the greatest superhero/ comic book films of all time. Shows the struggle between being a hero and being human. Responsibility, nobility, and intelligence is what makes peter so great in this movie. Tobey and Kristen have great chemistry too. Mary Jane is confusing yet so understandable if you look at her back story from SP1. Doctor Ock is a sympathetic villain that shows how you can make a villain show character development throughout. Great Score by Danny Elfman, great acting, great direction by Sam, etc. This film is an example of peak comic boom films.
