I appreciate how he portrays my typical Mondays. The scene where he envisions another version of himself, like a twin being, is particularly compelling. He even convinces everyone else of his imaginary friend's existence.
This movie feels close to me, as if it's narrating my own life, with all its challenges and imperfections. However, in the film, it's a more charismatic man navigating his own troubled life.
Joel is so me, introverted and melancholic figure, struggling with feelings of loneliness and dissatisfaction in his lovelife.
Luckily in the end, despite the pain of memories, Joel's character comes to the realization that even the difficult aspects of love are worthwhile.

When I saw dr. Robotnik floss I understanded it, how 1 cafe guy can love his boss that much. I really hope I can see more of their relationship in the next movie.
